Paul Kosak

Paul Kosak is a versatile multi-instrumentalist which is showcased in StevieMac. His passion for music and exceptional talent add authenticity and energy to every performance. A classically trained pianist, Paul has a strong academic foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from Boston University. His skills have earned him recognition as a semi-finalist in the 2018 Washington International Piano Artists Competition and a quarter-finalist in the International Frédéric Chopin Competition for Amateur Pianists. Paul’s musical versatility goes beyond the piano. As a member of the Flatland String Band, he captivated audiences with his guitar, accordion, and vocal performances, blending traditional folk and bluegrass sounds with heartfelt storytelling. Recently, he has performed with various cover bands and tribute acts, honoring artists like Selena, Garth Brooks, Phil Collins, and the vibrant music of the 80s and 90s. His ability to switch seamlessly between piano, synthesizer, guitar, harmonica, and vocals has made him a standout performer, particularly in high-energy shows. In addition to his stage work, Paul contributes to his community as the pipe organist at his local church and has spent 25 years as a public school music teacher, inspiring countless young musicians and fostering a love for music in the next generation. Paul lives with his wife, Johanna, and their four children—Hannah, Alex, Annmarie, and Andrew—who are his greatest supporters and source of inspiration. Through StevieMac, Paul Kosak channels the spirit of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, delivering performances filled with soulful precision and infectious energy.
